As you probably know, real friends are hard to find. Although there are lots of acquaintances/friends that will come and go throughout your life, it really is special when you find a true friend. While I’m sure everyone has their own definition of a true friend, in my opinion it is someone who will always be there when you need help or support, regardless of the situation. Also, even if the two of you move to different places, you will go out of your way to ensure that you keep in touch with this person.

Because one of my best friends moved to Orlando six months ago, I decided to go visit her last month. We have been close friends for three or four years, and although it was hard when she had to move away, email has made it a lot easier to stay in touch. Because we talk everyday, when I went to visit her in Orlando, there was no awkwardness at all. In fact, it really didn’t seem like it had been five months since we had last seen each other in person.
